- Auto-Build Inventory
-
- Auto-Build Inventory creates an Inventory Transfer transaction (see previous section).
-
- It is a shortcut for recording the manufacture of items.
-
-
-
- Auto-Build Inventory presents a list of the items that M.Y.O.B. can build automatically.
-
- In order for an item to appear on this list you must first enter the item's auto-build
-
- information. To enter auto-build information, choose Items List and then select the
-
- item you wish to build. Click the Auto-Build Info button at the bottom of the Item
-
- Information window.
-
-
-
- ÀáOn Hand QuantityÀá
-
- This is the number of units M.Y.O.B. thinks you have in your current inventory.
-
-
-
- ÀáPending QuantityÀá
-
- This is the quantity of this item on pending purchases (if you buy, as well as
-
- build, this item) minus the quantity on pending invoices. (Use Analyze Inventory to
-
- review the pending quantities.)
-
-
-
- ÀáNet on HandÀá
-
- This is the On Hand Quantity plus the Pending Quantity.
-
-
-
- ÀáQuantity to BuildÀá
-
- Enter the quantity you wish to build. If the Net on Hand quantity is less than the
-
- minimum level you entered in the Item Information window, M.Y.O.B. provides a
-
- default Quantity to Build.
-
-
-
- ÀáBuild ItemsÀá
-
- When you click the Build Items button, M.Y.O.B. uses the item's auto-build information
-
- to create an Inventory Transfer transaction.
-
-
-
- ÀáHow M.Y.O.B. Figures Costs and ValuesÀá
-
- M.Y.O.B. uses the sub-items' Àáaverage costÀá as the Unit Cost. The dollar amount being
-
- subtracted from each sub-item's inventory value is the Quantity times the Unit Cost.
-
- Since the transaction must balance, M.Y.O.B. adds up the total dollar amount being
-
- taken out of the sub-item's inventory and assigns it to the item being built. The Unit
-
- Cost of the item being built is the Amount divided by the Quantity.
-
-
-
- Review this transaction carefully. Once it is recorded, you cannot view it in this
-
- window again. You may view only the Inventory Journal transaction.
